MAKE THINGS BETTER
Today is really a conversation about GIFTING and LEADERSHIP.
When we aren’t honest about GIFTING we hold back our worship services.
When we don’t assess GIFTING..we hold back our potential.

1 Peter 4:8, 10-11
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen
GIFTING
EXAMPLE
Guitar Hero Battle at NP
-Although I’m gifted at guitar…I STUNK at guitar hero…it’s a different skill. I helped our team LOSE because I wasn’t good at it at all…it wasn’t my thing.
When people operate..
IN-GIFTING:
-Doesn’t seem like they’re trying…it comes natural.
-People talk about it…Did you hear? WOW…what a great job!
-Our souls are moved
-Beautiful
-Life Giving
The load is light…The feel is right -they don’t hold your team back. Adding not detracting. Not burdensome.
OUTSIDE OF-GIFTING
-There is a general unrest/uneasiness in your spirit. When will this end.
-Uninspiring
-Burdensome
-Chaotic
-Stressful
When will this end…Don’t do it again
Why do we operate OUTSIDE OF our gifting?
1.Need for approval
2.Need for community
3.No one has had the courage to tell us. I don’t want to hurt them…
Keep in mind 1Peter 4:8
THE STAGE
This World:
1. To be KNOWN
2. To be APPLAUDED
3. To be SEEN
God’s Kingdom:
1. To let Christ be KNOWN
2. To let Christ be applauded
3. To let Christ be seen IN US
The stage should never be used as a place to give someone a sense of false identity
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP ISN’T ABOUT YOU POSSESSING ALL GIFTS. IT’S ABOUT YOU IDENTIFYING GIFTS IN OTHERS AND SHEPHERDING THEM TOWARD THEIR GIFTING.
